Bright as spring

I have been looking for nude flat sandals for a while now. Not that we had the weather for them! So when sunshine hit England last week I was ready to buy my first pair of the season. Found them at New Look this year. They look comfortable and they are mine since his afternoon! I cant wait to wear them with my spring dresses…

It’s Spring and these are the flowers I would love to have in my garden right now

It’s spring folks!  With still very freezing temperatures in England I don’t really know if you can call it a spring but to get with the program I have rounded up a few of my favorite spring plants in this blog post.

1. Snowdrops~ I have them in my garden just underneath that big annoying Conifer tree. (will talk about that later)Unfortunately they didn’t blossom in a full bloom this year. I don’t really know why? Harsh winter, perhaps? I love them as they announce the spring time is coming… and they look great in a vase too.

2. Daffodils~ I have seen a few of them around. Have you? This winter has been long and with snow still around it’ hard to spot them but they are here. I love them and I would love to have a small patch of them under our big tree but they only last for so long…so not really sure if they would be so good for us, for such a small amount of time. We need a plant that hangs around longer. Still they look lovely.

3. Tulips ~They look great and you get them in so many different colors and variations. I think they would look great in some colorful pots just around the garden. Unfortunately we don’t have that much space to plant them to be in their full glory. Nevertheless as I am getting more and more into my gardening I will make sure to have a few pots and bulbs up and ready for the next year. In the meantime I will admire these few lovely images I pulled of the internet.

Is anybody else sick of drying their clothes all over the house besides me? We need some sun asap. Fingers crossed for this snow to melt soon and my flowers start to blossom.

Have a lovely sunday, x Ines

Mum & Me

I was 5 when my dad took this picture.I remember his new Nikon film camera.(and all the adjusting) It’s one of my favorite picture with my mum. I remember the moment it was taken. I remember the smell of the wild roses in the air and my Mum whispering in my ear softly. I remember everything. My mum made all my clothes then. Than jeans skirt was a height of fashion in 1985 🙂 I posted this pic on the 8th of March, on the International Women s day. Growing up in then communist society we didn’t celebrate or had Mothers day like we do today. It was still good, don’t get me wrong. 🙂 Love you mum!

My best friend draw this painting of me, on my office wall:-)… while waiting for me to finish  my meeting. I don’t get enough girls day’s out unfortunately!!! With my line of job and all the work on weekends it is hard to find some time off & just hang out. Luckily this was one of my free Saturday. We went out for some lovely lunch in our local Italian (Zizi’s) followed up by a Zombie room-com in cinema. Yeah boys and girls, that’s one romantic zombie movie. “he’s still dead but he’s getting warmer” is what got me into the cinema. Warm Bodies watch now.

My Cactus family. Papa cactus was given to me by my old boss back in 2009. In the meantime my family has grown to mama & papa  in 2010 and a little boy came out in 2011 followed by a little girl. I tough they should all have their own space so I’ve transplanted them in separate pots. In used old candle jars to house them all. Not bad for a girl who can’t water the plant.

This is fresh from the jar. I just came back from 4 days 3 night in Poland, Krakow. It was cold,/rainy and snowing but worth every second. I love European towns and their quirkiness.  We found this place while strolling down the Jewish quarter. It just started to snow and we needed to stop and have a deserved break after hours of walking. The decor is just brilliant. If I can have a bar/coffee shop one day it would look like this, old mixed with new with the cool gang to crouch in. Coffee is on us.

What to wear when strolling down the old town-Estepona

After a lovely light lunch at the beach in Estepona we took a stroll down to the old town.

We munched on churros dipped in chocolate in one of the small squares. Reminded me of Fritule  that I ate as a kid growing up in Croatia. Oh the good old days.

There were some lovely patios lurking at every corner and we found this lovely old Vespa in one.

ines-1What a cool bike. My Barbie had a similar one. 🙂
