Shopping…the joys of finding the blouse

I am not huge on blouses. Never was. They are to slinky for my body type and somehow I can’t seem to find anything in my wardrobe to match it with. So I made a quest to find a perfect one. One for this season, anyway. The one I can actually wear for business and pleasure.

Now… I am a huge fan of Zara & HM but having recently visited their shops and don’t get me wrong, I can always find something there, I was unable to find a perfect blouse that actually fits me. Weird? Or time to hit the pavement.

So I strolled up and down the shops and there it was, my perfect blouse, hiding in New Look store . Oh my, the pretties blouse in nude:-))) & with a cute pearl collar. I plan to wear it with jeans and some high heals for evenings and cute grey skirt with pumps for a day. Keep you posted on that. 🙂

Brick A Brac Dubrovnik Way – Recomendations

If you ever find yourself in Dubrovnik, Croatia and you are an antique lover then you must visit this shop. Nested just above the old town, not even 10 minute walk, this place is a precious jewel. It is a family business run by Divo & Duska.

Divo is a well know restorer around Dubrovnik & Croatia and has been restoring historical monuments & objects all over the world, like Italy & France for example. Duska is a philantropist and a costume designer and that’s what makes their shop even more exclusive as they clearly know what they are dealing with.

Here you can find anything starting from old paintings, retro clothes to the china plates and fine Czech crystal. They regularly update their Facebook Starinarnica Page so make sure to pay them a visit.

New Garfield Phone

Last week we revisited Sunbury market in a great hope of finding antique couch/chairs for our new studio. Unfortunately we haven’t find anything we liked except for this old retro Garfield phone. It still works you know! It was suppose to go to the studio but the sound is not the best so its staying at home for now.

Voila!

 It opens his eyes when the phone is off hook and closes them when put down. Too cool for school!

Union Jack Duvet by Jack Wills

Jack Wills is so fabulously British. I spotted this Union Jack duvet ages ago but my bedroom design was all in cream and natural wood colors. It just didn’t go with anything. This of course was changed as soon as we moved in to our new pad. I went for grey walls & bedding with touches of dark plum velvet curtains and cushions. Inspiration : old french boudoir/ a few retro touches. But more about my bedroom some other time. So a new duvet was purchased.
